Xp loss when death I really suggest to add a xp loss when you die. If so, how much should the penality be? And should it change somehow when you increase in level?
I have a idea how to implement this easly. I ( or we) just insert a simple script code in each player class to lose partial xp when he is "CleanedUp" (That would say his body is respawned). This would also give xp loss only when you respawn, not when you are raised by a spell. :P
Problem: I have tried to implement this to the script, but the problem is when you lose so much xp you go down a lvl or when you reach below lvl 1. If this happens, your character gets messed up. I have figured that there may be a way around this problem, but it will take a lot of work.

Another option is to make the player lose a bit of permanent hit points and then respawn at the beginning of the module again (After losing all his money, hand held items and keys).
Problem: If the player dies so often he comes to negative hit points - Egoboo Crashes. (A way around this problem may be that your minimum hitpoints is always at least 1 - Trough scripting).

Thank you for the feedback. I will tune down the xp penality with about 33%, to see if that does the trick.

Well I did some work on it today and it progresses steadly. One of the biggest things I must do yet is remove a nasty bug (Somtething to do with character imports). The new menu system is more or less ready for use. Bishopia is also ready for a beta release, I just need to add one more shop.
While Egoboo 2.2.5 adds much new stuff, it also removes some features (Temproary hopefully). Menu music and random maps will have to be removed (Ive converted to a new source code that has better networking support and a better menu system - credits to Jonathan). This new version does sadly not have random maps implemented and no SDL mixer (Thus no support for ingame music or positional sounds).
